Regardless of whether you’re rooting for Florida or for Georgia, everyone can agree on beer! Not going to the game on Saturday? Wicked Barley hosts a watch party, all day long, starting at 11am. Festivities take place in the indoor dining room and bar, as well as outside on the deck and in the beer garden.
First, there’s a pre-game special: from Wednesday through Saturday, get a free 22 oz. bottle of Jawbreaker Imperial IPA with the purchase of a 5-gallon disposable keg. That’s for starters.
Then, on game day, the brewery will offer food and drink specials all day – before, during, and after the game (game time is 3:30pm). Select draft beers (Drink Me Copper Pale Ale, Brierwood Brown Ale, and 9-0-Foreign Stout) are $3. The house “Wicked Burger” is $10. Into wings? A 20-piece set of Buffalo Wings is $18.95.
The roster includes special beers for the day: Coffee Stout, Southeast Showdown IPA (small batch with orange blossom honey), Eradigator IPA (pineapple ginger IPA; a take on the “Eradicator” Double IPA); Rivalry Red IPA (rye IPA); Gator Bull Imperial Breakfast Stout (imperial stout with coffee, maple and bacon); and Berliner Weisse.
Wear your team’s colors, and get 10% off your food and beverage check. Wicked Barley will also donate 10% of sales during the game to the winning team’s Alumni Association, each of which support local charities.
It’s a win-win.
Wicked Barley Brewing is located at 4100 Baymeadows Rd., Jacksonville, along the banks of Goodby’s Creek, with a 100-ft dock. The indoor dining room and bar, outside covered deck, and outdoor beer garden are family-friendly.
