About Us: Multi-faceted artist Barbara Colaciello began her career as the Advertising Director of Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine at The Factory in New York City. For over two decades, Barbara Colaciello has written, directed, produced, and performed socially-engaged theater that contributes to vital conversations in the Jacksonville community. Through the practice of storytelling, she engages performers and audiences in examining complex themes in much more nuanced ways than our local and national discourses often allow.

Barbara’s CoRk Arts District studio, BABS’LAB, is a space for creating in the NOW. It’s a place for experimentation, training, and performance, an artistic hub where the community comes together to witness work that uplifts, breaks barriers, and crosses lines. Monthly Story Slams with themes encourage oral story sharing and are hugley popular.
Her company Improv to the Rescue specializes in experiential and creative learning to enhance communication skills, develop storytellers and encourage collaboration through workshops, classes, and coaching.
