Make Waves In Your Fitness Routine

Workouts don’t always need to be regimented and scheduled in order to be effective. Mix things up by getting out in your surroundings and making the most of what our location has to offer.

The water in our oceans, inlets and rivers is perfect for resistance, core and both upper and lower body.

Of course, open water swimming is a fantastic change from pool laps. Challenge yourself by taking a kayak or stand up paddle board tour (self-guided or with a guide). Ninety minutes of maintaining balance and paddling will get your heart rate pumping.

Looking for something more daring? Consider surfing or waterskiing. These two sports are the perfect combination of fun and fat-burning, and will leave you feeling accomplished (and exhausted!).

Next time you want to work though shoulders, skip the weights and hit the waves. You won’t be sorry.
