On “Legacy of Leaders,” Jamar Suber welcomes outstanding leaders to this uplifting and interesting show, filled with practical advice, personal experiences and tips for business leaders and aspiring leaders. This week, Jamar sits down with Katarina Rawdan of Datavant.
Short company description:
We are data logistics. Making the world’s health data secure, accessible and usable.
How did you get started in your field or work?
I was a integration architect.
What’s one thing we should know that makes your company unique?
At Datavant, we optimize care decisions with our clinical data network, providing whole-patient insights for seamless in-home, virtual, and in-office risk assessments.
What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in your business?
One of the biggest obstacles that females often face in the IT industry is gender bias and stereotypes. These biases can manifest in various forms, such as being underestimated or not taken seriously in technical roles. There was much “proving” to gain a seat at the roundtable.
