The German Oktoberfest may have recently come to a close, but the festivities are still going strong around the Jax area. Don’t put those dirndls and lederhosen back in the closet just yet! If you’re looking for more Oktoberfest beer tappings and Oompah, you’ll find it in Jax Beach on Saturday, October 7, with events at Engine 15 Brewing, Green Room Brewing, Southern Swells Brewing and European Street Cafe, all within a short distance of each other.

Green Room Brewing : Tapping of traditional Oktoberfest lager at the brewery, 228 Third St., starting at 12pm. Buy Das Boot this year, and get it refilled with Green Room beers at a discount all Oktober long! Food truck. Wear your Oktoberfest best for 20% off beers! The brewery bar will be open with a special tap list, including:  Oktoberfest traditional malty lager; Cascade Dry Hopped Oktoberfest; Jax-o-lantern: Pumpkin Brown Ale brewed with lactose, pumpkin and spices; Chocolate Jax-o-lantern; Peanut Butter Jax-o-lantern; Coffee Jax-o-lantern; Cinnamon Yates Manifesto Imperial Stout, and more.

European Street Cafe : Annual Oktoberfest celebration at the Jax Beach cafe, 992 Beach Blvd., starting at 11am.  The first 50 people to buy a beer ticket receive a one-liter Warsteiner boot. The day features Oompah band The Hungry Five; also German house and techno with Der Spatula. Activities include the chicken dance and  Stein Hoisting Competition. Menu items include authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest pretzels and bratwurst. Your first beer is complimentary, if you’re wearing a traditional dirndl or lederhosen.

Prost!
