Hi, and welcome to Living My Faith. I’m James Fenimore, and today we’ve got a really special guest for you. In fact, we’ve got two of them. Joining me is Virginia Prodan and Kari Baker. Ladies, how are you doing?

Oh, it is my pleasure. I’m so excited to have you here. So, Virginia, I’m going to start with you. And we start the show with one simple question. Virginia, how are you living your faith?

And by sharing what the good Lord has done in my life, I have, Absolutely. Amazing story. I, was, I live under a communist government. My entire story is, in this book, Saving My Assassin, published by Kindle House publisher. You can find it at Virginia Capitol down the books that have come out defending Christian and human rights cases under Communist.
And, I was, torturer, placed under house arrest and, a dictator send, an assassin to kill me. That’s the reason why the book is called Saving My Assassin. And by the grace of God, I share the gospel with him. And later on, he shared with me that, now, after revolution, the dictator II was killed, and, Romania is, democratic country.
He is a pastor. And he wrote a chapter in my book, Saving My Assassin. So I leave my faith by, sharing what God has done in my life and, waking up the Western civilization that believes that, persecution will never come to America or to other countries. And I encourage you people to remain strong and courageous in God’s hands to live a courageous life.
Live, with the success and significance as God created for them. And for that reason, I train them, as I speak, in different places as they read the book. And also, I have, podcast Courageous Leadership with the senior program. And I am very, very, encouraged by, the answer that people I have from all over the world, from America, Canada, Australia, South Africa, you name it, you rock encouraging me that I encourage them in many ways.
Many some of them accepted Christ, some of them, I doing things and I’m encourage them and and training them to do those things. We are here for a purpose. If you have a pulse, you have a purpose. And that’s what I am encouraging people to do in every single day. I remind myself, and I remind others that we are children of God.
We are soldiers in God’s, army, and we are more than conquerors in this world. Yes, we might suffer. We might be under persecution and torture, you know, beaten like I was. But that is, temporary time. And God has special rewards for us as we share with others and encourage. He is the body of Christ because that is the reason, we follow an amazing God, a general of a general Jesus Christ, who never lost a battle.
Therefore, as we put our hands in God’s hands, we will walk in his victory and we will be victorious even when we do not see that victory. Well, I when I was under arrest or torture where they beat me, with my head, on the table, and I was full of blood or pushing me into the went into the door, into the wall, unable to speak or to bleed.
Unknown to them, they didn’t know that they were pushing me in the loving arms of God that were to whisper to me, I am here with you, and he will share with me to, tell those persecutors that God loves them. And I decided to love them. You have to know that during that time they were crying and turning their hearts because they didn’t know what to do with me.
This is what God is doing in in our life. The impossible things that you will never think that you will be able to do. But that is, do not be afraid in every circumstance. Remember to love even the unlovable, because at one time we weren’t unlovable and Christ loved us and also the fact that God transforms you and will transform, others, even those unlovable.
He died for each one of them. And God can use you as he used my assassin. And, as I talk with him and share the gospel and many other people that war against me, he will. God will use you to bring true Holy Spirit, those people, to the cross. And what an amazing job God has for us.
He will never ask you your resume, your skills, your talents. No, you already put in. He will give you open doors. If you read my my book, Saving My Assassin, you will be convinced that God has done it. Everything I was just and I will remain a tool in his hands. And if you want to be a tool in your hands, your wildest dream.
It’s a nothing compared with what God prepared for you. So today, go in your closet and ask the Lord, Lord, what do you want me to do? Trust him and watch him change

Thank you. Virginia. I got it, I got to get to Kari That was really amazing. But I really got to get to Kari. So thank you so much for sharing this incredible story. And I really, I hope we, we could hear more about it. But thank you. Kari, why don’t you tell me how you’re living your faith?

Well, it’s definitely not as dramatic as Virginia. That was an amazing story. But, I am actually living my faith because about three years ago, I walked away from a 30 year career in financial services, which I thought I would never leave. Based on a calling from God to really reach out to other families who were going through a similar situation as me.
My son Brady was diagnosed with autism in 2014, and to be honest, it rocked my world and I didn’t have a faith at that point in time in my life. And God really reached out to me after a few years of striving and trying to really fix a problem that wasn’t meant to be fixed. And, in coming to faith, I started to realize that my purpose here was to make sure Brady knew his purpose and to help other families and teachers and providers.
Anybody really who works with kids with invisible neurological differences, which is my kind acronym. So I now have this, this ministry kind families, and I speak to moms groups, I speak to churches, I speak to Bible studies. I actually have a book I’ve also written. And my son Brady, who is 15 now, wrote the foreword for it.
And, we’re just trying to let people know that they are seen in a, in a difficult situation where life doesn’t go as planned and that God, is with them every step of the way and that their child, regardless of the struggles that they have, is here on purpose, for a purpose. And we want to help them feel the love of God, as well as their parents and everyone around

That’s really beautiful. And it’s about. What an amazing story for both of you ladies. I mean, the, you know, we we’ve had to go through and just how it’s brought you closer to Christ and the kingdom is, it’s such a great testimony because for some of us, it could really break us. Right. And, but you, you are both living testimonies of how good God can be and how you’re constantly just living that out every day.
I just I want to thank you so much for all that you’ve done, all that you’re continuing to do. And, it really is special.
