Local Tech Leader Dedicates Time, Talent, Treasure to City Rescue Mission
Auditmacs CEO David Hopper Photographs Confections for Launch of CRM Entrepreneurial Endeavor, CHARIS Chocolates
The City Rescue Mission’s launch of CHARIS Chocolates benefitted from the talents of local tech CEO David Hopper at a recent photoshoot he conducted at the Mission’s McDuff Campus. A highly skilled artistic photographer in his free time, Hopper has donated many works to CRM, in addition to making personal financial contributions and participating in the organization’s myriad events.
“David takes photos from his heart. What he captures hits my soul,” beamed Executive Director Penny Kievet. “But that’s secondary—David and Jennifer [Mason, Auditmacs Chief Strategy Officer] love the mission. Jennifer is on our board and brought David along about six years ago. He’s been to every event we’ve had since he first got involved.”
When asked what about CRM appeals to him so much, David said, “You know, they’re helping people that no one else will help. That’s the ultimate in God’s work…there’s nothing better.”
CHARIS Chocolates is an entrepreneurial venture of City Rescue Mission, a nonprofit organization providing social services in northeast Florida. All net proceeds go directly to help the hungry, hurting, homeless and addicted. City Rescue Mission provides life transformation through and hope, healing and change for desperate and destitute people. CRM moves people from human suffering to human flourishing through hot nutritious meals, safe shelter, residential drug treatment, life skills, workforce development, transitional housing, and aftercare.
