What do you feel are your key personal factors for your success?: Persistence, Passion and and drive to succeed. There will be many obstacles to overcome. Just keep moving forward, one day at a time. One step at a time.
What is the biggest mistake you would tell your younger self to avoid?: I would tell my younger self to Dream big and don’t be afraid of failure. Set attainable goals but make sure the dream is big enough that it keeps you going to the end. The fear of failure and actually failing is what ultimately leads you to success! If you are not failing, you are not trying hard enough.
Do you have a mentor and do you feel it is important to have one?: I have a couple of mentors that I reach out to for advice. Even if their type of business is not related to yours, a good mentor will share their insights and provide clarity to help move you to a decision.
Is there a book you can recommend that would be valuable to read for someone starting out in business?: Good to Great by James Collins
How do you achieve balance between your professional life and personal life?: I will admit, it is very difficult. Sometimes balance cannot be achieved. The best method I have found is to create a schedule at the beginning of the week and write in the “must-do” items such as working out, family time. personal time and major goals for the week. It is vital to take care of yourself so that you have the energy to devote to your business and those who support you.
