Welcome to Living My Faith, a weekly show that celebrates the everyday believers who are walking with Jesus not just on Sundays, but in every area of their lives. From relationships and parenting to health, habits, and home, our guests share how they keep their faith at the center of it all. Hosted in Jacksonville, Florida and supported by Christ-centered partners, Living My Faith is a space where real life meets real faith. Today our host, Morgan Allen, spoke with Daniel Poor.

Morgan:
Welcome back to another episode of Living My Faith. I’m Morgan Allen, joined today with Daniel Poor. How are you doing?
Daniel:
I’m doing wonderful. How are you?
Morgan:
I am so good. So tell me about what you do.
Daniel:
What I do? Well, first and foremost, I’m a child of God.
My main job is just to testify about Jesus.
But I use real estate as a vehicle right now. Coldwell Banker Anabasis Realty, and I am a producing agent there with a dear brother in Christ of mine, broker Bryce.
And I am the creative director now. It’s kind of a newly created position, so trying to navigate that.
But it’s helping boost the media that we’re doing and just that creative directing, so getting creative about how we’re going to be marketing.
And like I said, using that as the vehicle to drive testimony about Jesus.
Obviously we have to do real estate content, but I built the studio and made it make sense because of real estate.
And now I have my own podcast on there called Pour It Out that I’m going to be releasing, and it’s just all about where were people at when Jesus met them or when they met Jesus.
Morgan:
That’s really cool.
So yeah, that was my next question, how are you living your faith with your business, but that’s a beautiful way of doing it through the podcast.
So you’re going to have guests on there? Any type of guests in particular?
Daniel:
Just those who have.
I’ve interviewed a few pretty great people, a lot of leaders in the church.
Eleven22, I had John Green Jr. on, which I met at one of the Foodies Care events.
He’s the co-founder of Operation Barnabas. Really awesome guy.
And he’s been in the school system here for a long time as a leader in Jacksonville.
I had Melissa Pearson on the other day. She has a testimony jewelry line.
Ron Armstrong, who is a potential mayoral candidate trying to get on the ballots now, he’s going to come on and tell some of his story and journey.
So it’s really just people that are impacting the Jacksonville community that I want to showcase Jesus through.
It’s full testament, but it’s rich too.
It’s not just people that have big waves in politics or nonprofits, it’s friends too.
I’ve had some beautiful conversations and kind of use it as an open platform Bible study where you get to pick people’s brains.
Morgan:
Yeah, I love this. I’m preaching to the choir.
So with you personally going into a real estate transaction, it’s not easy.
It takes a lot of faith to get through the whole process.
How are you living your faith through real estate day to day?
Daniel:
Day to day, it builds my personal relationship with Christ because of that foundation of trust I have to have.
Dealing with people in general, you get so many opportunities to reflect how Jesus is.
That’s our goal, to mirror and reflect him as best we can.
So it happens just by walking it.
But I find every opportunity I can to talk about it.
People know. It’s written on me and I speak about it.
So it’s leveraged in everything that I do, and that’s how it should be.
Morgan:
That’s a beautiful testimony.
What has been a moment where you felt called to be bold in your faith, maybe out of your comfort zone?
Daniel:
Out of my comfort zone is loaded because I feel like I’m inherently out of my comfort zone in any bold action.
But God’s built that into me through the trials I’ve overcome because of my faith.
When I have an opportunity to step out, it just happens.
It’s not me doing it, it’s the Spirit that lives inside me.
We had a young guy at the brokerage when I first joined.
I was questioning what ministry would look like if I pursued real estate full time.
But we had the opportunity to baptize a coworker within a couple weeks of me joining.
I got to see how God moved me into that space to testify and call young men up to see what Jesus is doing.
That’s my main ministry outside of work too. Men’s ministry has a really big place in my heart.
Morgan:
Are there any scriptures you’re holding onto right now?
Daniel:
I always go back to Jeremiah 29:11.
There is a plan for me, declared, plans to give us hope and a future, not to harm us.
There are so many verses. It’s the living word.
Your understanding deepens as your relationship with Christ grows.
God will do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.
Morgan:
That’s beautiful.
Daniel:
We’re constantly being transformed by the renewing of our mind.
Once we give God the reins, that’s when he can do great work in us.
It takes humility and surrender.
There’s nowhere in the Bible that says there won’t be storms or fires.
But he promises to walk with us through them.
Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire, Jesus shows up with us.
God refines us in the fire.
Like a silversmith, when he can see his reflection in us.
Or like a blacksmith forging a sword, we have to be refined to be used properly.
Morgan:
That’s powerful.
What’s next for you?
Daniel:
Right now we’re linking shields with CFMedia and Foodies Care.
Leveraging business to spread the gospel.
Business is the vehicle to steward what God has given me.
We want to make an impact and build resources for others.
Morgan:
Can you share a short version of your testimony?
Daniel:
I was in the pit of hell, and Jesus said, that’s great.
I was burdened and enslaved to self, lost in culture, bars, drugs, and chasing idols.
It took maturity and my grandfather getting sick.
I became his caretaker for two years.
He was a man of God who influenced me deeply.
After he passed, I needed something.
I prayed for God to equip me to lead my family.
I walked into church and heard about being equipped with the armor of God.
Later, during worship, I had a moment of surrender.
I raised my hands and felt something change.
I saw my grandfather’s hospice nurse next to me, someone I hadn’t seen since he passed.
It was a confirmation moment.
From there, my prayer life grew into relationship.
Now I’m involved in men’s ministry, baptizing people, leading groups.
I realized what I thought was nothing, God multiplied.
Like the loaves and fishes, he uses what we give him.
Morgan:
Daniel, thank you so much.
Daniel:
My pleasure.
Morgan:
