What type of cases do you generally handle?
Our practice focuses on providing legal support to clients with their trademark, copyright, contract and licensing needs. About 75% of our practice focuses on providing trademark legal services.
Who is your typical client?
Our ideal clients are legacy driven entrepreneurs who are generating multi-six figures in revenue and recently crossed the seven-figure mark in revenue generation for their companies. Our clients not only need general legal services in the field of contracts, human resources counseling, business restructuring but also intellectual property legal services and practical coaching as they begin to make executive-level decisions. With navigating new terrain in terms of the wealth they are generating, our clients are also plagued with new worries, such as hiring and firing, securing new brand partnerships, and discovering new ways to monetize their intellectual property. We help our clients by providing comprehensive and strategic legal counsel with the goal of strengthening their brands and defending their legal rights. This means securing new trademarks and copyrights, removing fake websites pirating their courses, and providing ongoing counsel for the legal landmines that pop up while building their brand. Approx. 90% of our client roster are Black women business owners.
What is your approach or philosophy to winning or representing a case?
Learning the WHY behind my client’s brand and creating relationships is central to great advocacy. Further, we provide our client’s with culturally relevant legal representation which has allowed us to persuasively argue successful for our client’s brands to gain greater protection before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
What is one misconception that you feel people may have about your firm?
That we only serve female founders and Black entrepreneurs. Our team of attorneys and advocates is multi-cultural and multi-disciplined, yet singularly focused on our client’s brands.
