Short company description:

I am an author and speaker with a mission to educate on the largely unknown topic of OPEN ADOPTION. This is where adoptive parents, birth parents and the adopted child are known to each other and maintain contact – possibly for life.

How do you define success?

Two things:
1. If can help adoptive and birth families to be comfortable forging healthy relationships with each other to benefit the adopted child, I will be a success
2. To have my book as recommended reading for the professionals and therapists that support adoptive and birth parents. And in turn, for them to recommend my book to those they support.

If you could be remembered for one thing, what would it be?

That I was a kind mentor, and a good mom

How has your business changed in the past 12 months?

I finished writing my book (5 year effort) and signed with a traditional publisher – Histria -under the Gaudium Publishing imprint. I have a launch date of Feb 20, 2024.

What are your biggest goals in the next 12 Months for your business?

My biggest goal is to use my book and speaking engagements to get the word out that:

An adopted child can benefit greatly by knowing and connecting with their birth parents and/or any members of their biological family-when safe and possible. It can help them grow up whole.
