How do you define success?

Success is doing what you love with the lifestyle you want — making what you deserve, having time for reflection and rejuvenation, being excited for each and every day.

What’s one thing we should know that makes your company unique?

My career has always been about helping people with their career — executive recruiting, in-house HR, leading a coaching firm, writing career advice columns (formerly in Money, Time, CNBC Executive Careers, Portfolio; and currently on Forbes.com), teaching at various universities. I also performed stand-up comedy in NY for almost 10 years so I’m more entertaining than your average subject matter expert!

What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in your business?:

Hiring best practices are evergreen but market conditions change, technology changes and as the economy goes up and down, people’s career priorities change. So there is always something new to learn or focus on in my coaching, speaking and writing.
