Nada Frazier, MSW, RCSWI, is the owner of The Sacred Servant, Inc., where she offers in-person and online counseling/therapy as a Florida Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern and life and death coach. How do you define success?
I define success for myself as a life well lived in gratitude and in alignment with my values, and with vision, integrity, compassion, love, and sacred service. I believe many of us die as we have chosen to live, and if I live as I described above, I will die a success.
How did you get started in your field or work?
I have been accompanying and supporting those who are ill and approaching the end of their life since I was a child living with my grandparents on their Texas farm. Prior to hospices becoming prevalent, families often had a family member who served ill family members. In my family, that was my Grandmother Hope (who I am named for). When I lived with her on the family farm, I learned that life and death are part of the natural cycle of life. I worked over 40 years as a litigation paralegal by day and I am still a Florida Registered Paralegal. At night and on weekends I was a hospice volunteer and end-of-life doula sacred servant. A few years ago, I decided to step away from working full time as a paralegal and go back to school to complete my Master’s Degree in Social Work which now allows me the opportunity to be a sacred servant at an even deeper level through my work as a social worker therapist/counselor and life and death coach.
