“Making a Difference” with Paul Collier from Coeffect

Each week on “Making a Difference,” our host, Wayne Veldsman, interviews people making a difference in their community. Today, Wayne had the pleasure of talking with Paul Collier from Coeffect.

Coeffect works with nonprofit executives and founders of social enterprises to leverage data to make a greater impact. The leaders they work with often feel overwhelmed and uncertain about how to implement an impact measurement strategy. After working with them, their clients report increasing their data quality, increasing their knowledge of data & evaluation, and making better decisions about where to invest their time. Ultimately their clients find that data helps them provide better services and raise the money that they need to grow.

How did you get started in your field or work? I had the opportunity to create the internal data & evaluation function at a nonprofit organization in San Francisco.

How does your company inspire others? At Coeffect, we always try to model what we want to see in the world. We show up in our client relationships with empathy, organization, a desire to learn alongside our clients, and a commitment to keeping our promises. We hope that how we show up, alongside the results of our impact measurement projects, inspire our clients to grow their impact even further.

What are your biggest goals in the next 6 to 12 Months for your business? In the next 6-12 months we need to conduct several more experiments in marketing – growing awareness of Coeffect’s free resources and services to a wider audience of nonprofit partners.
