“The Horse’s Mouth” with the Tunnel To Towers Foundation

Welcome to “The Horse’s Mouth” with Tom McManus, a cool, unique talk show where Tom’s guests sidle up to his bar to discuss the intersection of sports, business, and life. Today, Tom sits down with Marc Corkle and Patty Trousdell from the Tunnel To Towers Foundation.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001.

How do you define success?: Making a difference.

What volunteer experience has impacted you the most?: I received a plaque with a picture of Stephen Siller as recognition for my help with the 5K. I was very touched and grateful, but I felt so unworthy. It is a constant reminder of those who lost their lives on 9/11 and those who continue to sacrifice for this country. We can never forget.

What is a tip for success that you would provide someone in your same industry?: Being passionate about a cause is not enough. You need a plan and must have boots on the ground.

What is the most enjoyable part of what you do?: Giving back.
