What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next 2 years?

More than ever marketing needs to be experiential and engaging. Gone are the days when we can create a message that only addresses the problem and solution. People need to be engaged and feel like they are part of a community. The key is knowing how to create an experience for the audience that inspires them to want to participate.


What is your favorite advertising campaign that you have created for a client or participated in?

It was for Dig It in the Sun (now called Spot My UV). We did a campaign around the Oscars a couple of years ago when I was interviewing celebrities on the red carpet. We had so much fun showcasing the product all over southern California and with the celebrities as well as getting celebrities to share how they kept their skin safe from the sun.


How does your marketing strategy change from working with a local advertising client to a national advertising client?

The process is the same in that we start with a comprehensive analysis and then build out a plan based on their objectives and the impact they want to make.

Where it differs is mainly in the types of partnerships and influencers we help them to secure. It is essential for a local business to make strategic alliances in their area as well as focus on more local media attention. Although landing a few national spots is excellent for credibility.
