Short Company Description:

Unified Health and Performance is an inclusive strength and conditioning facility in MA. AdaptX is a 501c3 non-profit that teaches other health and fitness professionals how to create more inclusive environments and programming.

What is Your Why?:

I started my gym in 2016 to give my Special Olympic athletes a place to train alongside their peers and to build a model that demonstrated the value of inclusion within a for-profit fitness facility. I started creating educational resources in 2019 which eventually grew into AdaptX and was established as a 501c3 non-profit in 2022 to provide education and conduct research that makes the fitness industry more accessible for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.

What’s one thing we should know that makes your company unique?:

I believe we’re one of the only for-profit strength and conditioning facilities that train clients with and without disabilities in a seamless manner. Our goal now is to make this model the expectation not the exception.
