How do you define success?: I define success by intent and impact on others. For me, creating my content my overall goal is to teach but also make people feel good. And that so far has been translating. So for that, I feel success.
What is something unique about your business?: Black vegan creators aren’t something I see. I created this platform because i was trying these recipes and they just weren’t…… good. They looked good but the overall taste was bland. I wanted to show you can enjoy the type of you eat not, without sacrificing flavor and harming animals.
What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in your business?: Being a one man band. I direct, produce, creative direct, im the talent, video editor, lighting. But I look at it as a skill set that many can’t do. Im able to pull off my vision with just me and that’s exciting. When I get the help I need, my overall process will become easier, and my work will only enhance from where it is now.
The Biggest change in marketing that I see coming in the next 5 years is?: Video content on other platforms. Youtube really is the hub but you see careers starting on Tik Tok as well. Even instagram is changing their algorithm from likes and photos, to video content. Its all about how much longer you can keep a user on a app. And video is a great way to do that.
