Short company description: We view pain as the messenger, NOT the enemy! Instead of merely suppressing symptoms, we strive to listen once again… to “FEEL… Forgive and Release” the trapped sensations. We do this using decades of experience in nursing and integrative health, and employing a new tool, “Comfort Quest”. Through this transformative, hopeful lens, True Comfort becomes our goal (10/10 on the scale) as each client learns to flourish & improve their Quality of Life, instead of becoming another overdose statistic.

What Branch of Service are you or were you in and for how long?: US Coast Guard (AD & Reserve) total of 32 years; retired 2012 (CWO4).

What is or was your job in the military?: Hospital Corpsman originally (1980)… After attaining rate of Senior Chief (E8) accepted appointment as Warrant Officer (Medical Admin).

Why do you feel it’s important for people to know your business is a Veteran Owned business?: Mainly because I also desire to collaborate with and support other veterans in their work also… and to help heal any persistent wounds that my be lingering…

When leaving the service what was your biggest struggle?: The challenge of whether to work FT or PT as an RN. I chose the PT route which allowed time/ space to explore and create my business.

What resources for veterans did you find that helped you overcome that struggle?: I have been VERY grateful for the VA health care which I have received since leaving AD in 2012. It allowed me to choose PT (vs being forced into FT for healthcare benefits).

Brief description of what would you like to discuss on the show: How to empower our veterans who may be struggling with pain (on any level- body, mind or spirit)… Instead of stifling the body’s messages, we need to listen and learn, in order to thrive!
