What do you feel are your key personal factors for your success?: Mindset and attitude. Anything is possible for anyone with the correct mindset and attitude. Those who say they “cant” and those who think “they can” are BOTH usually right… Our mindset will determine how far we can get. Having a strong self talk, and understanding how to encourage yourself daily is very important for success. I once had a limited mindset and poor attitude when things didnt go to plan. It held me back. It causes doubt. Once I realized the power of the mind/brain to overcome, adapt, and process situations in a healthy productive way I found greater results. Once I pressed through the negative mind chatter I realized that it was literally all in my own head. I could do any of the things anyone else can do.

What is the biggest mistake you would tell your younger self to avoid?: Avoid the limitations that OTHERS place onto you. Often times, people will place their own limitations onto your dreams. Its a way to justify why they havent fought for their dreams… these limitations could be believing you cant do it, or arent qualified enough, or thats it’s unrealistic. This can cripple you before you even began to try.

Do you have a mentor and do you feel it is important to have one?: Yes. Mentorship is very important. Find someone who also believes that all things are possible. Or who has experience in what you are trying to do. Or someone who has the correct mindset that you’d like to have for yourself. This can allow for growth, development, expansion, and perseverance. Whatever you surround yourself with you will become. My mentor is other people who have fought hard to get where they are despite the odds. I like these types because they remind me that I too can fight hard and achieve greatness. My husband is a mentor to me because he pushes me, encourages me, and has the limitless mentality.

Is there a book you can recommend that would be valuable to read for a woman starting out in business?: No a book in particular but anything that is regarding your field of choice. Hack your business field learn all there is to know about what it is that you are doing. Learn daily; keep you fresh and on top of your game. A Great book for success & attitude/mindset: John Maxwell Attitude 101 great way to change your perspective on how you view you goals.

How do you achieve balance between your professional life and personal life?: As a mother of 4 boys and a husband I stay busy. Having a schedule or timeline planned out helps with organization and staying foucsed without neglecting your families needs. Set certain times in your week to do family activities. Be sure to take time for yourself to balance your busy schedule. Meditation daily to help clear the mind, and improve quality of work. Lastly, be committed to your schedule. This way no areas of you life will suffer without your attention.
